Reeling In Relationships: Coleman Roofing’s Fishing Trip

We spent a full day in Barataria, Louisiana with our team for our annual company fishing trip. Getting everyone together in one place matters to us. Our crews work across different job sites and rarely have the chance to slow down and connect. Time away from the day-to-day gives people room to relax, talk and build the kind of trust that strengthens our work in the field.

Reeling In Relationships: Coleman Roofing's Fishing Trip

This trip brings together field crews, superintendents and PMs. It gives new hires a chance to get to know the people they work with every day. It also gives longtime team members a break from the fast pace of projects so they can enjoy time with coworkers who feel more like family. We believe those moments of connection carry over into safer job sites and stronger teamwork.

A Tradition That Keeps Growing

This was our third year hosting the fishing trip and our biggest turnout yet with 35 people on the water. Every year the group gets a little bigger and the energy gets even better. Spending the day fishing, relaxing and even kicking around a soccer ball reminded us why culture matters. It takes effort to build a workplace where people feel valued, supported and connected. Time together outside the job is one way we protect that culture.

Looking Ahead to Next Year

The success of this year’s trip showed us how important it is to keep creating opportunities for connection. We are already planning to make next year even better. As Coleman continues to grow, we remain committed to bringing our people together, supporting one another and building relationships that last. These moments off the clock shape who we are on the job. They make us a stronger team, and we are grateful for every person who joined us on the water.
